Building Your List For Your Business

Your ability to build a list and collect names and emails is vitally important to your ongoing success. You'll hear and read all over the place that the money is in the list. As I kinda of mentioned in a previous post on my Niche Affiliate blog, even as an Affiliate marketer you have to keep those names and continue to build it. Don't just give them away to the affiliates.

I know, I know, I don't have email capture on my blogs as of yet. That is on purpose. I am testing a few things out and doing a bit of research. However, not only is collecting the names and emails consolidation loan service student But properly taking care of that list is even more important. Your list is a privilege, and should be treated as such, and far to many marketers think that sending out offers to their list every single day or a couple times a day is the way to go.

This is a huge pet peeve of mine. That in my opinion is an abuse of your list. If that occurs and I give them a fair shake, but if in 30 days I receive more offers than anything else, they are gone! and I immediately unsubscribe. And here is a real interesting fact. Not a one of the big guys I deal with, slams me with offer after offer after offer.

You have a list so that you can help educate and create relationships with folks and gain trust amongst one another so that everyone wins and gains from signing on with you. The way that most people handle their list screams of desperation for money, rather than wanting to deliver good helpful information that your list can truly benefit from.

Now onto squeeze page versus optin form on your site? Well, again I look to the big guys that I deal with and what works for them and I have to tell you that most have a simple pop up that handles everything. Now I am not saying that squeeze pages are bad in any way, as a matter of fact quite the contrary. It is going to be a personal preference and squeeze pages work extremely well.

Which ever way you choose to go is fine, the important part I want you to take away here, is that your list is your life's blood to success, now and on into the future and when treated well, they will be very loyal. You simply can't replace that loyalty that is created when done right.

As the saying goes it is much easier to sell to someone who has purchased from you before than it is to sell to a new prospect.

Another pet peeve of mine is poor quality freebies, 99% of the time you are going to be giving something away to entice the sign up and it must be quality reports and directly related to the subject matter. It has to be worthwhile. As an example I have probably 100 reports and ebooks that I could easily pass on, but won't because it simply doesn't meet the quality criteria.

Remember you have one chance for a first impression and if you blow it, chances are it will be difficult to regain that trust.
