It was like the modern dishwasher with a front door for loading dirty dishes and a rotating sprayer. In 1940 electrical elements to dry the wet dishes were added.

By the year 1950 the dishwasher was a normal kitchen utility. In the 1970s, dishwashers were very common in homes in America.
